WILL IT SNOW FOR CHRISTMAS? (DVD + Blu-ray)
Directed by Sandrine Veysset
On a farm in southern France, a woman and her seven children live a hard life, tormented by the farm's owner and the children's father, who treats them as his personal property. They are used as expendable free labor and cannot leave the farm. Only the woman's love for her children and her unwavering strength prevent the family from falling apart.
Director Sandrine Veysset's remarkable debut film won a César at its premiere and has been compared to works by Maurice Pialat (À nos amours) and Ken Loach (I, Daniel Blake). The film is beautifully photographed by Hélène Louvart (The Beaches of Agnès) and its ability to never become overly sentimental, despite its subject matter, is a testament to its quality.
