How Pre-orders work at NoirDisc

Many of our limited editions and exclusive releases are made available for pre-order months before their official release date. Placing a pre-order is the best way to secure a copy of a high-demand item before it sells out.

Here is what you need to know before placing a pre-order with us:

1. Immediate Payment

When you place a pre-order, payment is captured immediately at checkout.

Why? This secures your allocation with the distributor. Limited editions (like Second Sight or Arrow box sets) are often allocated based on paid orders. By paying upfront, you guarantee your copy.

2. Combined Shipping (Read this carefully!)

If your order contains both In-Stock items and Pre-order items, the entire order will be held until all items are released and ready to ship.

Recommendation: If you want your in-stock movies delivered immediately, please place two separate orders: one for in-stock items and one for your pre-orders.

We cannot split shipments after an order has been placed without charging an additional shipping fee.

3. Release Date Changes

Release dates are set by the studios and labels (e.g., Arrow, Criterion, Warner). These dates are estimates and can occasionally be pushed back due to production delays.

We update the product page immediately if a date changes.

A delay in release date is not a valid reason for a claim, but you are always free to cancel your order if the wait becomes too long.

4. Cancellations

Changed your mind? No problem.

You can cancel your pre-order at any time before it has been shipped for a full refund.

To cancel, simply contact us at hello@noirdisc.com with your order number.

Note: Once a shipping label has been created, the order can no longer be cancelled, but can be returned upon arrival (see our Return Policy).
