Thirteen years ago, at the Halloween Pumpkin Prom, the notorious lawnmower killer went berserk and murdered several high school students, including Mary Graves' older sister, who was traumatized for life. Now, after the unexpected escape of a prisoner from the state mental hospital, who may or may not be the killer, it's up to thegumshoe Dick Harbinger to solve the case before the lawnmower killer seeks a new batch of victims at the upcoming Pumpkin Prom, that is, if anyone can survive the hilarious horror antics leading up to it!

Thanks to films like Student Bodies and Saturday the 14th, comedy horror was big in the early 80s, and 1982's Wacko was one of the better examples. Exploitation director Greydon Clark delivers a crazy mix of parodies and shocks, while his A-list cast, which includes George Kennedy (Charade), Joe Don Baker (Goldeneye, Fletch), Charles Napier (The Blues Brothers, Supervixens), and Stella Stevens (The Poseidon Adventure), play the film as straight as they can. Recently restored in 4K from its long-lost camera negative!
