Actor and entertainment promoter Palle Hagmann is an incurable dreamer in 1950s Sweden, who with his dazzling charm and powers of persuasion can convince anyone to invest in his grandiose plans. There's no question that he will become the biggest name in the entertainment world! But his dreams are constantly shattered by that nasty thing called reality, while his creditors are breathing down his neck and lies become part of his lifestyle. Palle wants to do so well and hopes so much, but he lets everyone down along the way. Not least his patient wife and young son, who are forced to realize that their father is not the hero they so desperately want him to be.

Peter Haber gives the performance of his life in VITA LÖGNER, a warm and tragicomic film about a charming con artist who is impossible to hate. For the film's director Mats Arehn (Mannen som blev miljonär, Papphammar), the film was a dream come true. He had carried the story within him his entire life. Palle Hagmann was his father.
