In a town in the Midlands in the 1990s, young people from local housing estates struggle to find meaning in their lives. Alan Darcy (Bob Hoskins), who has recently returned to his hometown, disrupts their lives by reviving the local boxing club from his youth.

TwentyFourSeven is directed by cult favorite Shane Meadows (This is England) and tells the story of working-class youth who find friendship, self-respect, and meaning in post-industrial England. The film is shot in black and white and features music by Tim Buckley, The Charlatans, Van Morrison, and Paul Weller. It is alternately heartwarming and confrontational, and permeated by a sense of undeniable hopefulness.
