101 Films presents the eerie mannequin horror film Tourist Trap (1979). A highly underrated genre film from the late 1970s. Tourist Trap combines elements from both the supernatural and slasher subgenres with frightening effect. Tourist Trap, which has long been in need of reevaluation, is now rightly recognized as a macabre masterpiece of horror cinema.

A group of unsuspecting young travelers stumble upon "Slausen's Lost Oasis," an eerie, long-abandoned wax museum hidden deep in the countryside. What begins as an innocent detour soon turns into a nightmarish trap when they discover the evil secrets lurking within its decaying walls. This grotesque sideshow is led by the enigmatic Mr. Slausen, a seemingly harmless caretaker who harbors a terrifying obsession. As the night progresses, the travelers are thrown into macabre and filthy chambers of horror where wax figures come to life and escape is nothing but an illusion.
