This is Spinal Tap (2-Disc Blu-ray)
NOMINATED BY TIME OUT IN MAY 2021 AS
THE FUNNIEST FILM IN HISTORY
After taking a break from dog food commercials, filmmaker Marty DiBergi follows his favorite band on their US tour – British band Spinal Tap, who boast that they are the loudest band in the world. They reveal to him the secret behind their success: amplifiers with a volume control that goes up to 11 instead of 10. When asked if there is any real difference, he replies, "Well, it's one more, isn't it?" Unfortunately, the band seems to have lost as many fans as brain cells. The tour is plagued by disaster after disaster. They sink so low that they end up as the band for a puppet show. The end seems near...
When THIS IS SPINAL TAP came out in 1984, it barely made a splash, but after a couple of years, more and more people started talking about that "crazy fake documentary" that poked fun at all the rock band clichés and fiascos turned into a success. Today, the film is a huge cult favorite that fans watch over and over again and know all the lines by heart. The film is being released for the very first time on Blu-ray in Sweden—digitally restored and packed with bonus material.
