"Directed by Alberto Cavalcanti (Went the Day Well?, Dead of Night), They Made Me a Fugitive is an excellent example of British film noir. Trevor Howard (Who?, The Missionary) plays Clem Morgan, an RAF officer during the war who is now unemployed after demobilization. He turns to the black market and becomes involved in a life of crime that leads to imprisonment, a daring escape, and a deadly manhunt.
They Made Me a Fugitive has a striking cinematography by Otto Heller, whose later credits include Michael Powell's Peeping Tom and the classic Cold War thriller The Ipcress File, and is accompanied by two rare short films, made during Howard's own time in the RAF during World War II, featuring his earliest known appearances on the silver screen.
