The Way Of The Dragon Limited Edition Blu-Ray
After establishing himself as the biggest box office draw in Hong Kong, Bruce Lee leveraged his success into a new deal with Golden Harvest that would allow him to write, direct, and star in his own projects. He only managed to complete one film under this contract before his untimely death, but it is undoubtedly his most personal and exciting: The Way of the Dragon.
Tang Lung (Lee) is a naive farm boy from Hong Kong who is sent to sunny Rome to help a family friend whose Chinese restaurant is threatened by a local gangster. He trains the waiters in self-defense while single-handedly taking on Italian thugs, but the gangster decides to take revenge by flying in some of the best fighters from America (including Colt, played by Chuck Norris) and Japan to take down Tang. Soon, the pillars of the Colosseum will rumble with the sound of Tang Lung's fury!
Lee's only completed film is unlike any previous kung fu film, mixing thrilling action, stunning international locations, and charming humor in a way that would prove to be highly influential on other filmmakers in Hong Kong in the years that followed. It is accompanied by The Final Game of Death, a brand new 223-minute video essay that takes you behind the scenes of Lee's second, and tragically unfinished, film as a screenwriter and director.LL FOR BLU-RAY IN LIMITED EDITION
