The Shepherd Of The Hills Limited Edition Blu-Ray
When Daniel Howitt (Carey), a friendly stranger, arrives in a remote Ozark community torn apart by hatred, he befriends young Sammy (Field) and angers her fiancé, Matt (Wayne), a bitter moonshiner who has sworn to kill his own father.
Hathaway's version of The Shepherd of the Hills is based on Harold Bell Wright's best-selling novel and features stunning cinematography by Charles Lang (The Long Gray Line) and W Howard Greene (The Magnificent Seven). The film was the third of no fewer than four adaptations for the silver screen and was Wayne's first film in Technicolor.
