A mutated virus turns infected residents of Taipei into crazed, bloodthirsty creatures who murder without restraint or mercy. Stuck on opposite sides of the city when the grotesque bloodbath begins, young couple Kat and Jim try to find each other in the terrible chaos. But how will they manage when the streets of everyday life have become hell on earth and a mentally deranged mob living out their sickest fantasies on everyone they can get their hands on stands between them and reunion?

Debut director Rob Jabbaz puts his characters and the audience through a truly brutal gauntlet of scenes that constantly raise the stakes and the level of violence. Everything builds up to a bloody crescendo where no dark scenarios are left unrealized in a film that has made even the most hardened splatter fans recoil. The presence is total due to extremely well-executed practical effects that conjure up images of fountains of blood and mutilations that will not leave the viewers' memory anytime soon.
