THE RESCUE follows a rescue team at the highest elite level. After nearly losing their lives on a fire-ravaged oil rig, they rush to prevent a disaster in the mountains caused by an earthquake, after which they are tasked with rescuing the passengers aboard a crashed plane that is about to break in half and sink into the depths.

THE RESCUE cost a whopping billion Swedish kronor and took over five years to complete. Only the best were hired for the production. Action master Dante Lam (Operation Red Sea) is responsible for directing, while Oscar-winning John Frazier (Spider-Man, Transformers), the production designer is Martin Laing (Titanic), and the cinematography is by Oscar winner Peter Pau (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).
