The Oblong Box Blu-Ray
Horror masters Vincent Price and Christopher Lee are both at their best in this eerie Gothic tale of the macabre, inspired by a story by Edgar Allan Poe. In shadow-clad Victorian England, Sir Julian Markham (Price) is a landowner who hides a terrible family secret, while Dr. Neuhartt (Lee) is a surgeon who performs horrific experiments on stolen corpses. When their different fates collide—and a mysterious killer in a red mask begins a vendetta—a series of daring, bloody atrocities ensues.
The actors and film crew who worked on the horror classic Witchfinder General reunited for this stylishly filmed and fast-paced Grand Guignol film—with the usual strong performances from the charismatic actors.
