IN THE WEST, THERE IS NOTHING MORE DANGEROUS THAN BEING A BLACK MAN AND A RED WOMAN IN WHITE LAND

The American War of Independence is over and the battle-scarred soldiers are returning to their homes. One of them is Benji, now a free man after a life of slavery. His former owner welcomes him with open arms and makes him his partner on the ranch. But anger is brewing in the area. Many do not view the friendship between the black and white cowboys with kind eyes. When Benji also marries an Indian woman, a violent outburst is inevitable.

We all remember the duel between Alf Kjellin's student and Stig Järrel's sadistic teacher in Hets, which catapulted Kjellin to the top of the A-list. Hollywood also took notice of the star, and roles in films such as Alistair MacLean's blockbuster Polar Station Zebra Follows Not followed. At the same time, Kjellin directed episodes of TV series such as The Cartwrights, Columbo, and The Macahans. His second Hollywood film, THE McMASTERS, is a ruthless western written by Harold Jacob Smith (Oscar for The Chain) with names such as Jack Palance (Oscar for City Slickers) and Burl Ives (Oscar for The Man from Laramie) in the cast.
