The Last House On The Left (2009) 4K UHD bluray
The Last House on the Left is a vicious and effective update of the controversial graphic shock film of the same name from 1972, produced by the original director and producer duo Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham.
When athletic teenager Mari Collingwood (Sara Paxton) chooses to hang out with her friend Paige in town instead of spending the evening with her parentson vacation at the family's remote lake house, it marks the beginning of a night no one will ever forget. The two girls end up in the company of escaped convict Krug (Garret Dillahunt) and his makeshift family of vicious career criminals, who kidnap and brutally assault them before leaving them for dead. They flee the scene of the crime during a storm and accidentally seek shelter at Mari's parents' house, who wonder why their daughter hasn't come home and are prepared to unleashall the forces of hell on anyone who dares to touch so much as a hair on her head. Dennis Iliadis directs energetically from a new screenplay by Carl Ellsworth (Red Eye, Disturbia), and this remake of the horror film's groundbreaking tale of bloody revenge has been described by Stephen King as "the best horror film of the new century."
