The Fortune Blu-Ray

In this screwball comedy with a high concept and big budget directed by Mike Nichols (The Graduate, Wolf), Warren Beatty (Mickey One, Bonnie and Clyde) plays a clever con man and Jack Nicholson (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Border) his dim-witted sidekick who tries to get his hands on the fortune of an unfortunate young heiress, played by Stockard Channing (Grease, The West Wing). This lively and beautifully staged crazy comedy, which was a commercial failure when it was first released, is ripe for rediscovery and reevaluation.
