During the barbaric heyday of film censorship in the early 1980s, Video Invest was the most daring and notorious video company. Their films were much worse than anyone else's, which led to police raids on video stores across Sweden. The 26 confiscated VHS titles were destroyed and the company went bankrupt. Now the films are back! In uncut original versions and digitally restored. For over sixty years, The Seven Doors Hotel in Louisiana has stood abandoned and locked up. When New York girl Liza Merril inherits the hotel, she decides to renovate and reopen it. Not a good idea! Very soon, Liza will realize that the hotel is built on top of one of the gates to hell...

Acclaimed for its surreal qualities, nightmarish atmosphere, and powerful special effects (which are still shocking today!), The Beyond is director Lucio Fulci's greatest work.

Its admirers include filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth, as well as Swedish hard rockers Europe and Candlemass, both of whom have written songs inspired by the film.
