When he was a child, Dar's parents and his entire tribe were massacred by a powerful witch master. Now the boy has grown into a stately warrior determined to take revenge. Marc Singer (TV series V) and the sexy Tanya Roberts (Bond girl in The Living Target) drew large audiences in the 1980s to this fantasy film, which has everything Conan has, but even more charm and humor. The success led to two sequels (1991, 1996) and a TV series (1999-2002). Don Coscarelli (Phantasm, Bubba Ho-Tep) was responsible for the direction.
