Johnny Depp and Tim Burton reunite in the Oscar®-winning film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's classic musical thriller. Depp plays the lead role as a man who has been unjustly sentenced to prison and seeks revenge, not only for the cruel punishment, but also for the devastating consequences for his wife and daughter. He returns to reopen his barbershop, where he becomes legendary as "the demon barber of Fleet Street." In other roles, we see Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Sweeney's loving accomplice, Alan Rickman as the evil Judge Turpin, and Timothy Spall as the judge's evil assistant, Beadle Bamford.
