The young fatherless Leander is studying music in Switzerland. His studies are going well, but his sex life has taken a back seat. His attempts to satisfy his sexual needs fail.

As summer approaches, Leander returns to Sweden, worried and depressed, and settles down at his mother's magnificent mansion on a bay of the Baltic Sea. There, his sister Mejt is waiting for him. But Leander rejects her and, to demonstrate his freedom, he lies down with the young Finnish maid on a bathing rock in front of Mejt. In her dreams, he transforms into the young priest who takes her in the white church. Leander tears the dress apart and frees Lola from both her innocence and her dreams.

Leander learns from his mother that his father was a real womanizer and that Mejt is actually the fruit of his father's affair with an unfortunate Danish mistress.
