Soldier Blue 4K Ultra HD + Blu-Ray

Sale price559 kr

After a convoy and its American cavalry escort are attacked by the Cheyenne, only Private Honus Gant (Peter Strauss) and a young woman under the cavalry's protection (Candice Bergen) survive. Forced to travel through the unforgiving wilderness of the American frontier in search of refuge, their journey comes to a tragic climax when they witness the vengeful US Army's cold-blooded massacre of the Cheyenne.

Ralph Nelson's Soldier Blue (1970) was controversial when it was released, reflecting the political climate at the time. The film is uncompromising in its anti-war stance and in its graphic depiction of the Sand Creek massacre of 1864. By highlighting America's dark history and the inhumane actions of the US Army, this revisionist western is one of the most radical films in American cinema history.
