Mykola is an idealistic math and physics teacher for secondary school students. Together with his beloved wife Nastya, he lives a simple, technology-free life in an old caravan in the countryside in eastern Ukraine. They are expecting a child. However, when Russia invades in 2014, tragedy strikes. Like sick predators, Russian troops track down the couple's isolated home. Before they leave, Nastya is dead and their little idyll burned to the ground. Mykola survives but is severely shaken. The tragedy drives him to enlist with one thought in mind: to rebuild himself into a fighting machine and take revenge on those who took everything from him. Armed with his sniper rifle and an iron will, he plans to rid his homeland of the enemy one bullet at a time.nbsp;

A glowing patriotic and moving film that bears powerful witness to the strength and fighting spirit of the Ukrainian people. Realistic and raw, with a script written by director Marian Bushan in collaboration with the real Mykola Voronin. To some extent, Sniper The White Raven is based on Voronin's own experiences and has been called the Ukrainian answer to American Sniper.
