Unlike the myriad of Beck films produced for television, these films are based on the original books by MAJ SJÖWALL and PER WAHLÖOuml;, which have been translated into 40 languages and sold millions of copies around the world. Three of the films were successful in cinemas before the entire sextet was released for home use.

The films are now being released for the first time on Blu-ray – in newly scanned, top-quality versions.
