Vietnam 1964, a few years before the US's massive war machine rolls in with full force. But for the decorated Major Barker, the war is already a nightmare. With only a small troop of young soldiers and a few South Vietnamese at his disposal, his mission is to defend an outpost in Muc Wa. Strategically uninteresting, but that's what his superiors have decided. As Barker's doubts about his own and his country's involvement in the war grow, the Viet Cong attack with furious force.
