There are 7.5 billion people on Earth. 237 of them are Scanners. They possess the most terrifying powers ever seen—and they are about to win!

SCANNERS was David Cronenberg's biggest success during his low-budget period in his native Canada, after which more expensive films such as The Dead Zone and The Fly would follow. The music was written by newcomer Howard Shore, who has since won three Oscars (for The Lord of the Rings trilogy), and the make-up effects were created by Dick Smith (Oscar for Amadeus) and Chris Walas (Oscar for The Fly). Most famous, of course, is the head explosion, which was cut by the censors in Sweden. Studio S is proud to now present SCANNERS and its two sequels in uncut and newly restored versions.
