Savage Guns - Four Classic Westerns Volume 3 Limited Edition Blu-Ray
Crazy outlaws thirsting for blood! Corrupt capitalists who make money off the suffering of ordinary people! Desperate people driven to violent revenge! The Italian western film has never been wilder than in this quartet of cult classics from the later period, where the genre's characteristic cynicism escalates into the radical pessimism that characterized the world in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
In Paolo Bianchini's I Want Him Dead (1968), American actor Craig Hill (The Bloodstained Shadow) plays plays a former Confederate soldier who swears revenge after his sister is raped and murdered, putting him on a collision course with an evil plan to disrupt the peace talks between the North and South. In Edoardo Mulargia's El Puro (1969; a.k.a. The Reward's Yours... The Man's Mine), Western icon Robert Woods (My Name is Pecos) gives perhaps his best performance as a legendary gunslinger who is forced out of hiding after the bounty hunters who are after him murder the kind-hearted bar girl (Rosalba Neri, who also stars in the film).murder the kind-hearted bar girl (Rosalba Neri, Smile Before Death) who offered him a new life.
In Mario Camus's The Fury of the Wind (1970), genre superstar Terence Hill (They Call Me Trinity) shows his darker side as a hired killer who finds his conscience when he and his brother (Mario Pardo, Knife of Ice) are hired by a ruthless landowner (Fernando Rey, The French Connection) to kill the leaders of a growing labor movement. Finally, Fabio Testi (What Have You Done to Solange?) and Tomas Milian (Don't Torture a Duckling) star in Lucio Fulci's Four of the Apocalypse (1975), in which a quartet of misfits go from sharing the same prison cell to embarking on a wild odyssey that will lead to torture, rape, and cannibalism. A ruthless bandit attacks them and the four fight for their lives - until it's time for revenge.
