Savage Guns - Four Classic Westerns Volume 3 Blu-Ray

Sale price589 kr

Crazy outlaws thirsting for blood! Corrupt capitalists profiting from the suffering of ordinary people! Desperate people driven to violent revenge! The Italian western film has never been more gritty than in this quartet of recent cult classics, where the genre's characteristic cynicism escalates into the radical pessimism that characterized the world in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In Paolo Bianchini's I Want Him Dead (1968), American actor Craig Hill (The Bloodstained Shadow) plays the lead role as a former Confederate soldier who swears revenge after his sister is raped and murdered, and thus ends up on a collision course with an evil plan to disrupt the peace talks between North and South. Then, in Edoardo Mulargia's El Puro (1969; also known as The Reward's Yours... The Man's Mine), Western icon Robert Woods (My Name is Pecos) gives arguably his greatest performance as a legendary gunslinger who is forced out of hiding after the bounty huntersmurder the devoted bar girl (Rosalba Neri, Smile Before Death) who offered him a new life. (1970), the genre's superstar Terence Hill (They Call Me Trinity) shows his darker side as a hired killer who finds his conscience when he and his brother (Mario Pardo, Knife of Ice) are hired by a ruthless landowner (Fernando Rey, The French Connection) to kill the leaders of a growing labor movement. Finally, Fabio Testi (What Have You Done to Solange?) and Tomas Milian (Don't Torture a Duckling) play the leading roles in Lucio Fulci's The Four of the Apocalypse (1975), in which a quartet of misfits go from sharing the same prison cell to embarking on a wild odyssey that will lead to torture, rape, and cannibalism. After falling prey to a ruthless bandit, the quartet fights for their lives—until it's time for revenge.

Four of the Italian Western's hardest, cruelest, and bloodiest classics burst from the screen in this jam-packed box set from Arrow Films. With dazzling High Definition restorations and a wealth of bonus material, Savage Guns delivers – from both barrels!
