Roseanna DVD
On a hot summer day, two children are on their way to go swimming when they make a horrific discovery by the Göta Canal. Among the water lilies and seaweed floats the naked and slightly blue-tinged body of a woman. A few minutes later, the police arrive at the scene. The case is assigned to Martin Beck, who soon realizes that the woman was raped and murdered aboard one of the canal's many tourist boats. The name Roseanna appears on a passenger list. But nothing else. Who was she, this mysterious and beautiful woman? And who did she meet on the boat on her last day alive...?
ROSEANNA was the first of Sjöwall & Wahlöö's detective novels to be filmed, making Keve Hjelm the very first actor to play Sweden's most famous film detective, Martin Beck. The story was inspired by a high-profile sexual murder in Marstrand in July 1961, known as the May Murder.
