Reine & Mimmi i Fjällen DVD
Reine & Mimmi in the Mountains! was heavily criticized by the press when it was released. But it was as Lasse Åberg once said about one of his works: "No one liked the film – except the audience!" 170,000 viewers filled the cinemas, after which the comedy became one of the great Swedish cult films on DVD with sky-high prices on the second-hand market. In fact, the highest ever recorded for a Swedish film! Now this rarity is finally being released in a brand new DVD edition – by popular demand!
During the 1990s, Bertram Heribertson and Ing-Marie Carlsson became known to the Swedish public as the couple Reine & Mimmi thanks to the TV series Tre kronor. With an incredible two million viewers per episode, there was a demand for a feature film. The task went to Hans Rosenfeldt (screenplay), who would later create the TV giant "Bron," and Magnus Skogsberg (director), now best known as ICA-Sebastian. The intriguing story begins with the couple going on a skiing holiday in an attempt to save their marriage. But Reine's old flame Olga, Mimmi's light-fingered sister, and a Russian gangster ensure that everything goes... well... downhill!
