Rabid (Blu-ray)

Laura Vandervoort (Jigsaw) plays a downtrodden girl in the fashion world who is involved in a violent traffic accident. When she wakes up, her face is completely disfigured and her career in the world of beauty is over. Or so it seems. But then Laura meets the mysterious Dr. William Burroughs (Ted Atherton), whom Laura gives the go-ahead to perform a new type of plastic surgery on her as a guinea pig. The next time she wakes up, she sees a beauty of great proportions in the mirror. But there is a side effect. Laura has begun to crave blood?

Laura Vandervoort (Jigsaw) plays Rose in this year's most anticipated horror film, directed by the notorious Soska Sisters (American Mary). David Cronenberg's original was one of the most talked-about horror films of the 1970s in Sweden and made headlines when people in the audience fainted left and right. Is the remake even worse?
