The jazz-loving Prince Naveen of Maldonia is transformed into a frog by the evil voodoo doctor, Dr. Facilier. In a desperate attempt to become human again, Prince Naveen tries to get the beautiful waitress Tiana to kiss him to break the spell. But the kiss does not have the desired effect that Naveen had hoped for. Instead of turning him back into a human, it draws Tiana into the spell and she too is turned into a frog. Now both of them must embark on an adventure to find the kind-hearted Voodoo priestess of the Bayou, Mama Odie, for help.
