Night of the Eagle is based on the novel Conjure Wife by Fritz Leiber and is a tense, atmospheric, and frightening film that is now a much-loved cult classic. Professor Norman Taylor (Peter Wyngarde) seems to have it all: a good job, the envy of his colleagues, a happy marriage, and a healthy skepticism when it comes to the supernatural. However, things begin to fall apart when Taylor discovers that his wife Tansy (Janet Blair) has been practicing witchcraft, apparently in an attempt to further his career and protect him from jealous colleagues. Despite Tansy's warnings, Taylor insists on destroying all her magical paraphernalia and tries to carry on as usual, refusing to believe that his wife's witchcraft could be behind his success.
