THE LEGENDARY HORROR ANTHOLOGY WITH THE FIRST FILM BY STEVEN SPIELBERG
"SPIELBERG'S DIRECTING DEBUT IS REALLY GOOD"
Thomas Nilsson, Hemmabio
NIGHT GALLERY is forever engraved in the history books. The horror anthology was the starting point for a debutant whose subsequent career is unparalleled in film history. The 23-year-old talent was Steven Spielberg, who shines here with a chilling thriller about a blind woman who forces a poor wretch to sacrifice his sight so that she can see. In the lead role: Oscar-winning super diva Joan Crawford!
In the other two stories, we meet a repulsive young man (Roddy McDowell) who murders his wealthy uncle for his money, and a Nazi criminal (Richard Kiley) who comes face to face with a victim from the concentration camps. You can count on those who deserve it getting their punishment! This anthology (which also served as a TV pilot) was so successful that it was expanded into a TV series that ran for five years. The guide for this horror odyssey is its screenwriter, Rod Serling, legendary for creating The Twilight Zone.
