Mister Lonely (Blu-ray)

A lonely Michael Jackson impersonator wanders the streets of Paris in hopes of finding greatness when he suddenly encounters an enchantingly beautiful Marilyn Monroe. She invites Michael to a commune where other celebrity impersonators live together in the Scottish Highlands. Once there, Michael and Marilyn prepare together with her pompous husband Charlie Chaplin, the Queen of England, Abraham Lincoln, Sammy Davis Jr., flying nuns, and many others for a star-studded show that is sure to captivate their admirers.

Only an auteur like Harmony Korine (KIDS, GUMMO, SPRING BREAKERS) could bring together Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, her daughter Shirley Temple, and flying nuns into a genuinely funny but also powerful film about the instability between fanaticism and redemption that we hope to find together with others.
