Mississippi Mermaid Limited Edition Blu-Ray
Wealthy plantation tycoon Louis (Jean-Paul Belmondo, Breathless) places an ad for a bride, and the radiant beauty Julie (Catherine Deneuve, Belle de Jour) arrives in response. Julie is more attractive than the photograph he received, but Louis is still captivated despite some strange details in her story. Things get complicated when Julie disappears and Louis decides to find her, leading him down a path of mystery and erotic obsession. Mississippi Mermaid, which Truffaut adapted from a novel by Cornell Woolrich (The Bride Wore Black), is a colorful noir film that contains the twists and turns of the genre with Renoir's heart (to whom the film is dedicated) while Belmondo and Deneuve are in top form.
