Mellan två världar (DVD)
Juliette Binoche plays Parisian author Marianne Winckler, who takes a job as a nanny in northern France while researching her next book. Without revealing her true identity, she begins working with a group of other women and experiences financial insecurity and social exclusion at close quarters. But behind the scenes, Marianne also discovers the community, solidarity, and strong bonds between her female colleagues.
Award-winning French author Emmanuel Carrère returns to the silver screen with a class-conscious drama starring Juliette Binoche. Between Two Worlds is Carrière's second film as a director and opened last year's Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in Cannes to unanimous acclaim. The film was a real box office hit in its home country, where it sold nearly 500,000 tickets.
