Megalomaniac DVD
Megalomaniac explores the boundary between victim and perpetrator and how it is crossed. How evil can be inherited, whether you accept it or not. Martha and Félix are the two children of the "Butcher of Mons," a notorious serial killer in Belgium in the 1990s. Unstable and insecure, Martha lives her life through social media, while her brother, weighed down by their family's terrible legacy, begins his own career as a murderer. When Martha is harassed and violently assaulted at work, the previously docile woman begins to descend into madness herself, entering the strange and terrifying world where her brother already resides.
Megalomaniac is based on real events. The film had its world premiere at the 2022 Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, where it won the award for Best Film: Le Cheval Noir.
