WAR AND LOVE

The year is 1944. World War II continues to rage on many fronts. Soldier Jack (Lachlan Nieboer, Downton Abbey) deserts his unit so he can reunite with his wife Eva (Alicia Agnesson, Vikings). During his absence, she has sought refuge in an isolated mountain village to find work in an ammunition factory. The only problem is that the factory and the small community are ruled by the local "strong man" Bar (Brian Caspe, Jojo Rabbit) with a pronounced taste for decadence and who sees the area as his private kingdom. When the secret police show up in search of army deserters, the young couple's future prospects are suddenly clouded.
