Little Nelly loved her grandmother dearly. Now she is dead, and her mother Marion is struggling to cope with her grief. So when the family has to clear out her grandmother's home, the memories become too strong. Mom can't stay. She runs away. Left alone with her father, Nelly goes on a journey of discovery in the woods behind the house. There she meets a girl her own age, who, like Nelly's mother, is named Marion. There is something mysterious and extremely familiar about her. The thought is dizzying. Could she actually be Nelly's mother... as a child?!
