Le Notti Bianche Limited Edition Blu-Ray

Sale price529 kr

One fateful night on the streets of Livorno, Marco (Marcello Mastroianni, Allonsanfan), weary of life, encounters Natalia (Maria Schell, The Last Bridge), a visibly distraught young woman. When Marco tries to comfort her, Natalia tells him the story of a lost love (Jean Marais) whom she has heard is back in town. In an attempt to stay close to her, Mario reluctantly agrees to help her find him. Director Luchino Visconti (Senso, La terra trema) has adapted a short story by Fyodor Dostoyevsky and captures both the pain and ecstasy of love in this exquisite melodrama. With two fantastic performances by Marcello Mastroianni and Maria Schell in the lead roles, Le notti bianche won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 1957.
