A HUGE SUCCESS! 440,000 CINEMA GOERS!
THE CORRIDOR
PER RAGNAR * A FILM BY JAN HALLDOFF
At the large hospital, young doctor Jan Eriksson is confronted with more than just illnesses and accidents. He has learned a profession that is solely about providing people with physical help, but his patients need so much more to endure their worries and anxiety. Someone to listen, someone to comfort, a hand to hold. Constantly haunted by a feeling of human inadequacy, Jan is on the verge of breaking down.
Jan Halldoff's deeply humane KORRIDOREN is one of the director's most beloved films and biggest box office hits. It attracted 440,000 viewers to cinemas, making it the biggest Swedish box office hit of the 1968/69 season.
The screenplay was written by Halldoff together with Oscar nominee Bengt Forslund (The Emigrants) and Bengt Bratt (Home to the Village).
