Korpen flyger - Digitalt restaurerad bluray
DIGITALLY RESTORED
SPECIAL EDITION
For many years, Gest has stared out over the Irish Sea with a furious desire for revenge in his dark mind. Twenty years ago, the mighty Thor and his Viking warriors came to his home, set his farm on fire, took his sister captive, and slaughtered his parents before Gest's eyes. Now it is time for Gest to set foot on Icelandic soil. Time for justice. Time for Thor to dig his grave.
Influenced by the cinematic artistry of Sergio Leone and Akira Kurosawa, Hrafn Gunnlaugsson tells a furious tale of revenge with the weight of ancient, cruel and moralistic sagas. A story that is portrayed more in images than in words, with Iceland's barren, magnificent, and fateful nature in the background. The film's success at the box office was unexpectedly great, largely because it felt authentic. The Icelandic language also proved to be perfect for such a hard-boiled film. Everywhere you heard people reciting the line "thungur hnifur" (heavy knife).
