Kar de Mummas rackarungar (DVD)
Two years in each class & Sigge Nilsson and me
For several decades, legendary revue creator and comedian Kar de Mumma left his mark on Swedish entertainment. Already in his twenties, he achieved great success with the youth booksTvå år i varje klass (Two Years in Every Class) and Sigge Nilsson och jag (Sigge Nilsson and I), which described his own school days as a mischievous student in 1910s Stockholm with both humor and warmth. The books were made into films in 1938, directed by comedy master Sigurd Wallén, and audiences of all ages flocked to see them.
The films revolve around the brothers and mischievous friends Putte (Åke Johansson) and Sigge (Sven-Eric Gamble), who constantly subject their poor teachers to imaginative pranks. But deep down, they have hearts of gold. "You can safely send all young people between the ages of five and eighty to have the time of their lives watching this film."
