After twelve years behind bars, Hank McCain is released, only to immediately fall into the hands of gangster Charlie Adamo and his plan to rob the new giant casino Royal in Las Vegas. When the plan is put into action, however, Charlie realizes that the casino is owned by the mafia and must be stopped immediately. But nothing can stop McCain, who is determined to carry out the spectacular heist on his own!

MACHINE GUN McCAIN was made when John Cassavetes was at the peak of his career with major hitssuch as Rosemary's Baby and Twelve Angry Men, for which he was nominated for an Oscar. In other roles, we see Peter "Columbo" Falk, our own Bond girl Britt Ekland, and Cassavetes' wife Gena Rowlands, best known for her roles in the critically acclaimed films her husband made as a director.
