During the barbaric heyday of film censorship in the early 1980s, Video Invest was the most daring and notorious video company. Their films were much worse than anyone else's, which led to police raids on Sweden's video stores. The 26 confiscated VHS titles were destroyed and the company went bankrupt. Now the films are back! In uncut original versions and digitally restored. During an expedition to a distant planet, one of the female researchers is raped by an unknown creature, resulting in a grotesque offspring. Half human. Half alien. 100% evil!

Inseminoid was one of the most successful films to follow in the cluster of sci-fi horror films that the hugely successful Alien gave rise to,Alien gave rise to, best remembered for its birth scene that had cinema audiences reaching for the sick bags.

The film was directed by British filmmaker Norman J. Warren, best known in Sweden for Terror, which caused a moral panic when a clip was shown on the debate program Studio S in 1980. The screenplay was written by Nick Maley (together with his wife Gloria), the film's make-up genius and often called "That Yoda Guy" for his acclaimed work in creating the iconic Jedi Master in the Star Wars series.
