Impossible Object Limited Edition Blu-Ray

Impossible Object (also released as Story of a Love Story) was directed by John Frankenheimer (The Manchurian Candidate) and is a surreal drama starring Alan Bates (A Day in the Death of Joe Egg), Michel Auclair (The Day of the Jackal), Dominique Sanda (The Conformist), and Lea Massari (L'avventura) in the lead roles.

Harry (Bates), a British writer living in France with his wife and family, begins an affair with Natalie (Sanda), who is herself unhappily married to Georges (Auclair). But Harry cannot separate the facts of his life from the fictions he creates, and the line between fantasy and reality becomes increasingly blurred.

Impossible Object is adapted by Nicholas Mosley (Accident) from his own Booker Prize-listed novel, photographed by Claude Renoir (Barbarella) and with music by Michel Legrand (Eve), and is a long-overlooked classic of 1970s European cinema."
