A tale of lost lives and lost souls, screenwriter and director Yonfan delivers one of his most powerful studies of human frailty. The film focuses on the relationship between a singer and her Japanese lover from the time they first meet to the present day, when she has hit rock bottom and he is a washed-up drug addict. With incredible performances by Sylvia Chang and Shingo Tsurumi, we act as voyeurs, diving into their bleak, fragmented existences where others control their choices and the only light in their lives is their unbroken love.
