Il posto / I fidanzati Limited Edition Blu-Ray

Sale price629 kr

Domenico is sent to the big city by his family to find a job for life. He has to take a test to secure a position along with many other hopefuls. There he meets Antonietta (played by Olmi's then-wife Loredana Detto) and the two strike up a friendship and experience working life together for the first time. Ermanno Olmi's (The Tree of Wooden Clogs) moving and often funny portrait of modern life and work, which is fantastically filmed on the streets of Milan, won many awards when it was released and is recognized as a classic of world cinema. Giovanni works in a manufacturing factory and is promoted to Sicily. The move means he has to leave his fiancée Liliana, his father, and his friends behind. Once in Sicily, he begins to wonder if he made the right choice. In Fidanazati is beautifully filmed and channels Antonioni's industrial isolation with dreamlike and heartfelt lyricism.
