Spirit dealer Jean Kayak is a man who is truly passionate about his work. Some would even say that his commitment to the goods he offers sometimes goes overboard. So when a group of hungry beavers destroy the stock of Applejack Cider, it's not just a financial loss. Kayak sees it as a declaration of war. To get his money back, he must become the greatest fur trapper the world has ever seen. All he has to do to succeed is defeat hundreds of beavers. Hundreds of Beavers is a heroic epic without dialogue. The narrative style of silent film is successfully combined with the aesthetics of cartoons. In this encounter, filmmaker Mike Cheslik challenges the laws of nature in a creative and compelling way. Cheslik is previously known for starring in, producing, writing, editing, and creating the effects for the 2018 horror comedy Lake Michigan Monster. His feature film debutHundreds of Beavers has been screened at festivals such as Fantastic Fest, Night Visions Film Festival, Mórbido Fest, and many more. Along the way, Hundreds of Beavers has built up a large following of enthusiastic fans. A cult classic in the making.
