It is the end of the Meiji era. The brilliant poet Ishikawa Takuboku, struggling with financial problems, starts a detective agency in his home in response to a certain murder case. Takuboku gets involved in a series of bizarre cases with his childhood friend Kindaichi Kyosuke as his assistant.
